Thanks to everyone that was able to make it to the 2022 Fail Family Reunion! We had a blast!
The 2022 Fail Family reunion took place June 10th - 12th, at the Bear Lake North RV Park & Campground located in St. Charles, Idaho. The Earle Fail Family chose to do a Harry Potter theme for the reunion, and had various activities and games planned for a grand House Cup competition. It was a close race in the end! This was the order of events for activities that took place on Saturday the 11th.

Dinner
This year the Earle Fail Family planned Sloppy Joe's for dinner on Saturday. Other members of the family brought Potato Salad, Pasta Salad, Green Salad, and Fruit.
Dessert Contest
This year the Pie-Wizard Tournament took place on Saturday. All those who wished to participate brought a dessert and an impartial panel of judges decided which treats were the best and won glory for their Hogwarts houses.
There were two categories, best recipe, and best theme. The winner of the best recipe was made by Jackie Fail, with a berry cobbler dish, and the runner-up was Wendy Segelke with the rock cakes. The winner of the best theme was Liz Ford with the Golden Snitches, and the runner-up was Molly Ford with Aragog's Lair (Spider Cupcakes).
As part of the competition for the House Cup, we had several activities planned for this year's reunion. Participating in these activites earned house points, based on performance. In addition to the below, we also had a face-painting station that some of the family participated in. All members of the winning house also took home a house prize of a live Mandrake Root (a.k.a. aloe vera) and a wand (a.k.a. pencil wand).
House Cup Competition
As we competed in our houses for the various activities below, house points were awarded. The winning house received the House Cup, and all members of that house took home a grand prize. Ravenclaw was victorious in this year's competition!
Horcrux Scavenger Hunt
Students defeated Lord Voldemort by finding all seven Horcruxes. All who participated brought glory to their house! 2 Points were awarded for each item found. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners were also awarded an additional 50, 40, and 30 house points respectively, along with special prizes.
Free Dobby
Dobby, the house-elf, was under enslavement by the Malfoy family. House-mates competed together against other houses to help him become a Free Elf! Winners received between 5 and 15 points for their house and all received a prize for participating.
Ollivanders Wand Creation Station
Those who wanted their own wand now have one! Ollivanders Wand Creation Station was setup to allow those who wanted to the ability to create their wand. But remember, the Wand chooses the Wizard! Some took home different wands than others!
Pin the Nose on Voldemort
You ever feel like something's missing from Voldemort's face? Participants solved that problem by giving him a proper nose! Points were awarded based on performance, with the possibility to win 20, 10, 5, or (for those who hadn't practiced their "charms" in a while) 0 points for their house.
Harry Potter BINGO
In a game of utmost skill and concentration, participants played for a chance to win their house 5 points. The first person to blackout won something extra magical!
